The name Fire Mountain is derived from the legends and beliefs of the Enterprise Rancheria tribe, which sought cleansing and longevity from the fire water in the mountains. The long name of this casino hotel results from the partnership between Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and the Estom Yumeka Maidu of the Enterprise Rancheria. In June 2021 Hard Rock Sacramento began construction on a $75 million expansion project to build Hard Rock Live (details), an indoor concert venue that opened June 3, 2022, and Rocktane Gas and Smoke (details), a fuel station with a drive-thru smoke shop and convenience store that opened Nov.
